Rev. Bryan D. Wilson, Senior Pastor

Pastor Wilson grew up in South Jackson attending Lester Elementary, Peoples Junior High, and both Jim Hill and Wingfield, graduating from Wingfield in 1974. Married in 1976 to Lynette Davis and then attended Central Bible College for the final two years of undergraduate studies after attending Hinds Junior College. He then pioneered and was a pastor for Florence Assembly of God from July of 1978 till December of 1984. From Florence he moved to Springfield, Missouri where he attended The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and received his graduate degree in Biblical Literature in December of 1986. In 1987 he accepted the pastorate of First Assembly of God in Council Bluffs, Iowa till January of 1994 when he moved to pastor First Assembly of God in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. From there he came to Southside in October of 1996 where he continues as pastor. He and his wife Lynette have two sons, Bryan II and Brett, who have both graduated from college and are full time youth ministers.

Lynette Wilson, Worship/Executive Pastor

Serving Southside since 1996, she holds a degree in Music Education and a Masters degree in Applied Voice. She was married to Pastor Bryan Wilson in 1976 and they have two sons. Their older son, Bryan Wilson, II and wife, Codie have one child and serve as Worship Pastors in Cleveland, TN. Their younger son, Brett Wilson and wife, Courtney have one child and serve as Youth Pastors in West Memphis, AR.

Lynette's passion is to exhort the local church to genuine worship, prepare the worshipper to receive the Word, and to encourage spiritual maturity and consistency in the lives of those she leads. Whether directing the choir, leading in worship, assisting the Pastor in pursuit of his visions and dreams, or connecting women for service, growth, and ministry through coordinating "Women's Connection," her desire is to fulfill God's purposes and plans for her life and exhorting others to do the same.
